Download Terms & Conditions (PDF)These Terms govern access to and use of the Sesionario platform, operated by Algenium, S.A.P.I. de C.V. This summary accompanies the full document; the Spanish version is the binding one and can be downloaded as a PDF. By registering, accessing or using the Platform you consent to these Terms and to our Privacy Notice.
1. Provider identification and acceptance
The Platform is operated by Algenium, S.A.P.I. de C.V. (RFC ALG250918E64), domiciled at Arles 159, Lomas de Angelópolis, C.P. 72830, San Andrés Cholula, Puebla. It operates on the official domain sesionario.mx; sesionario.com and sesionar.io redirect to it.
Acceptance is made by electronic means and produces the effects of the Commercial Code and NOM-151-SCFI-2016. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the Service.
2. Definitions
Platform/Service: the set of Sesionario sites, applications and services. User: any person who accesses or uses the Platform. Member/Physician: an individual user, typically a health professional. Organization: a registered medical institution. Pharmaceutical Advertiser: a legal entity contracting advertising or sponsorships. Content: all material available on the Platform.
3. Description of the Service
Sesionario provides, among other features: management of live and on-demand events and streaming; assessments (quizzes); attendance tracking (including via QR); issuance and verification of certificates, diplomas and proofs of completion; payment processing and tax-receipt issuance; advertising targeted to verified physicians; and an event-sponsorship marketplace.
The Provider may modify, suspend or discontinue features, endeavoring to give reasonable advance notice where this materially affects the User.
4. Registration, account and eligibility
You must create an account with truthful, complete and current information, be of legal age and have the capacity to contract. Physician-only features require completing professional verification (specialty and license, verifiable against sources such as CONACEM).
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity under your account. Immediately notify contacto@sesionario.mx of any unauthorized use.
5. Roles and relationship with Organizations
The Platform operates on a multi-organization model. Organizations are responsible for the educational content they publish, the accuracy of events and the certificates they issue. Algenium acts as a technology provider and, where applicable, as a data processor on the Organization's behalf.
6. Payments, commissions, invoicing and refunds
Payments are processed through Stripe (including Stripe Connect). Algenium earns a commission on certain charges and sponsorships, applied as an application fee on the gross amount and disclosed to the Organization. Transactions are in Mexican pesos (MXN) unless otherwise stated.
Upon request and with correct tax data, CFDI 4.0 is issued. OXXO cash payment, where offered, applies only to one-time payments, with an approximate cap of MXN 10,000 per transaction and no refunds through that method. Refund policies are set by each Organization, without prejudice to the Federal Consumer Protection Law.
7. Educational content, certificates and QR verification
Certificates are issued when the conditions defined by the Organization are met (payment, attendance, watch-time and/or passing assessments). Each document may include a QR code for public verification, displaying minimal authenticity data.
Academic or curricular validity depends on the issuing Organization and applicable rules; Algenium provides the technological means of issuance and verification but does not itself certify the official validity of the educational content.
8. Physician verification, advertising and health compliance
The Platform may display sponsored content, clearly identified. Targeting based on professional data (specialty and state) occurs only with your consent; if you do not grant it, you will see general ads. Metrics are aggregate and do not identify you.
Advertising of prescription (Rx) products is shown only to verified physicians, consistent with the General Health Law, its Advertising Regulation and COFEPRIS provisions. The Pharmaceutical Advertiser is responsible for ensuring its materials comply with applicable health regulations.
9. Intellectual property
The Platform, its software, trademarks, logos and design are the property of Algenium or its licensors. Educational content belongs to the Organizations or their owners. The User is granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license; unauthorized reproduction, distribution or exploitation is prohibited.
10. User conduct and prohibited content
The User agrees not to: use the Platform for unlawful purposes; impersonate others or provide false information, particularly in professional verification; compromise the security of the Service; upload illegal, defamatory content or content infringing rights or health rules; extract data through automated means without authorization; or resell or exploit the Service without authorization.
11. Medical and educational disclaimer
Content is for educational and professional-training purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice nor replace clinical judgment, and its use does not create a physician-patient relationship. Clinical decisions are the sole responsibility of the health professional.
12. Privacy and limitation of liability
Data processing is governed by the Privacy Notice, an integral part of these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Algenium does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free availability, nor is it liable for indirect damages or for content posted by Organizations, Users or Advertisers. Nothing limits the non-waivable rights granted to the User under Mexican law.
13. Term, changes and termination
These Terms remain in force while you use the Platform. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach, legal requirement or security risk; you may request deletion by writing to contacto@sesionario.mx.
We may modify these Terms for legal, technical or business changes; the current version is published at https://sesionario.mx with its “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.
14. Governing law, consumer and jurisdiction
Where the User is a consumer, the rights of the Federal Consumer Protection Law apply, with PROFECO competent. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States and the parties submit to the courts of San Andrés Cholula, Puebla or Mexico City, except for the consumer's non-waivable venue.
