2. What is Sesionario?

Sesionario is a continuing medical education platform for Mexican medical organizations and health professionals: management of events and streaming, assessments, issuance and verification of certificates, payments and invoicing, advertising targeted to verified physicians, and an event-sponsorship marketplace.

Use of the Platform is additionally governed by the Terms and Conditions, of which this Notice forms an integral part.

3. Personal data we process

Identification and contact data: name, email, phone and profile image. Authentication data: encrypted password, sign-in provider tokens, passkeys (WebAuthn) and session records.

Physician professional data: specialty, professional license, state and the result of the CONACEM verification. Academic and activity data: attendance (including QR), watch-time, quiz attempts and scores, posts and submissions.

Tax and financial data required to issue CFDI 4.0 and payment-operation identifiers (we do not store full card data). Technical and security data: IP, user agent, request identifiers and audit logs.

Sesionario does not collect sensitive personal data for the service; specialty and professional license are treated as professional data, not sensitive data.

4. Purposes of processing

Necessary purposes: create and manage your account and authenticate you; provide continuing medical education services; generate and enable QR verification of certificates; process payments and issue CFDI 4.0; verify your health-professional status; ensure security and prevent fraud; and handle support and legal obligations.

Voluntary purposes (require your consent): advertising targeted to verified physicians, segmented by specialty and state, with aggregate-only metrics; and marketing communications. You may refuse or revoke your consent at any time without affecting essential services.

5. Processors, remittances and transfers

Processing data on our behalf: Cloudflare (infrastructure), Stripe (payments and Stripe Connect), Facturapi (tax-receipt stamping), The Rocket Science Group / Mailchimp (service emails), Vonage (text messages) and CONACEM (specialist-physician verification).

Your data may be transferred where necessary to comply with legal obligations or authority requirements, perform the relationship with your medical organization, or in other cases under the Law that do not require consent. Otherwise, we do not transfer your data without your consent.

When you participate as a member of a medical organization, it may act as controller of certain data (attendance, assessments, certificates) and Algenium as a processor on its behalf.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (language, theme, time zone), ensure security and obtain aggregate metrics. You may disable cookies via your browser; some features may then stop working correctly.

7. ARCO rights and limiting use or disclosure

You have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel or Object (ARCO), and to revoke your consent and limit the use or disclosure of your data. Send your request to privacidad@sesionario.mx, addressed to Rodrigo Ignacio Spesia Ruiz, including your name and a means of response, proof of identity, a clear description of the data and the right exercised, and any element that helps locate the data.

Additional mechanisms: you can disable targeted advertising in your profile or by writing to us, and unsubscribe from marketing communications via the link in each message.

8. Authority

The competent authority for the protection of personal data held by private parties is the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, which assumed the powers of the former INAI. If you believe your right has been violated, you may turn to that authority.

9. Changes to this privacy notice

We may modify this notice to address legislative, internal or practice changes. Changes will be published at https://sesionario.mx (privacy section) and, where applicable, by notice through the Platform or by email. The “Last updated” date indicates the current version.

10. Consent

By providing your data through the Platform and using our services, you acknowledge having read this Notice and consent to processing for the necessary purposes. Consent for the voluntary purposes is obtained separately.

This is an informational summary. The full Privacy Notice (the Spanish version being binding), available as a PDF, governs the processing of your personal data.
